Cheyenne Reese
Cheyenne assists clients with tax, estate and trust planning. Cheyenne received her J.D. from the University of Victoria in 2005 and her Masters of Law Degree in International Taxation from New York University in 2006. As a result, a major part of her practice is related to cross border U.S. – Canada transactions and estate planning, including estate, gift, and generation skipping tax issues. In addition, Cheyenne advises U.S. citizens and green card holders regarding U.S. tax compliance and the U.S. expatriation tax rules.
Cheyenne was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2007 and has been at Legacy Tax + Trust Lawyers since that time, becoming a Principal in 2013. Cheyenne has completed Parts I and II of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants’ In-Depth Tax Course. She presents often on cross-border tax and estate planning issues.
Camille Lee, CPA, CGA, EA
Camille is a member of MNP’s International Tax Services team in Vancouver. With more than a decade of progressive accounting and tax experience, Camille helps owner-managed businesses with financial reporting and U.S. residents and non-residents with U.S.-Canada cross-border tax matters. She listens carefully to learn about each client’s situation to best resolve their unique tax issues with confidence, whether that’s helping with their move to another country, renouncing citizenship, or advising on investment decisions. Her services include cross-border tax and estate planning for high-net worth individuals, corporate tax planning for owner-managed businesses, income tax treaty analysis and consulting on immigration / emigration issues.
Pam Smith, CPA, CA, TEP
Pam is a member of MNP’s Tax Services team in Victoria. She builds strong, lasting clients relationships based on clarity and understanding, allowing her and her clients to navigate even the most complex tax matters together.
As part of the firm’s Specialty Tax Services group, Pam works closely with Indigenous communities, organizations, entrepreneurs, and status individuals put structuring in place for tax efficiency and long-term success. She helps Indigenous clients with Section 87 of the Indian Act and tax exemption analysis, and also works with professionals, business owners, and non-Indigenous businesses partnering with Indigenous groups.
Her services also include trust and estate planning; personal, trust, and estate compliance; trust deed review; and corporate restructuring. She works with executors and estate administrators to help them navigate the details of administering an estate.
